Lach,

Tires are…
Rear sprocket is…
Seat is…
Fantastic build!

Hey Allin……nice forks cus I bought them from you and you polished the shit out of them …thx
Tires…..Shinko dual sport
Sprocket…..supersprox from Mike at Bellacorse…….
Seat……is a Norman HYde single seat…..I thought the back hump was kinda tall so I took his cover off, froze the foam, shaved and sanded to my taste. Then I had our local leather guru put black bull hyde on the rear part and nice soft black cow hyde on the front….real happy with the seat…..
I am back to stock number of teeth front and back and I don't like the "looking for 6th gear" again.
Best

Ok Allin here are some pics…….
Rear sets gone, stock pegs back, bit well scram bars my neck and shoulder like the more upright ride position.
The rear brake piston cover is a temp….I need something better looking.
I like the Mikuni carbs a lot.
Bill Gately oil pressure gauge plus my old temp gauge.
Really like my Gately oil coolers.
My old 6 pot Beringer front brake caliper is the only way to go IMHO.
Need to tweak the pro com and tighten the WORKS rear shocks.
Need to get the harmonica's on the tank.
But at least I am riding again.

I do like my 4 pot Beringer caliper. And the EBC floating rotor we traded for...
What I would like to talk to you about is the brake piston relocation…
Scratching my head on my bobber build for relocating my rear brake reservoir…
Your plight with the cover demands a whole saw? Yes, no? Match that swing arm?
Mikuni's rock! Specially with that Gately Motor…

My son's BB is taking shape slowly but surely…
Rear sets, clubmans, and a modified Ducati seat cowl. Hence a "Tricati"…
Mo' to come!

My build a "Tricent"…
That's a different story all together…

Work, money, time and health…

Oh well…

Carry on mate...

I am liking what you and Flaco are chatting about here. Good stuff.

Not so sure I like the bear-trap on your shifter. Sometimes, on the up-shift, the gears crash and hammer my toe. Just thinking it would be a bit harsh on the boot top on the upshifts.

Those white wire ties are going to suffer in your climate. I have always preferred the black wire ties, zip ties, cable ties, zap straps. Quality wire ties are soft and more flexible. The crappy ones are stiffer.

Stole this from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cable_tie

- In order to increase resistance to ultraviolet light in outdoor applications, a specific grade of nylon containing a minimum of 2% carbon black is used to protect the polymer chains and extend the cable tie's service life.

Keep building guys.

Flaco…..I think I will round the rear piston cover, drill some holes in a clean pattern and paint it black. I moved the piston there to get a clearer "see through" Bonne.

Roger you are so correct about white ties…..ran out of black and will change them out soon.

Thx for the ideas boys…..

I have run up the coast a couple of times breaking in the new engine slow and easy. It has been a long time since I have broken in a new engine and it is interesting to feel things loosening up and getting smoother with each mile. I had a good run down to san Luis yesterday, 80 miles round trip.
I had my old bike dialed in. Alloy rims, dunlops, 988cc engine, tuned front and back suspension……
On the ride yesterday I really noticed the WORK's rear shocks and front forks were not in sinc. And the Shinko dual sport tires have a realllll different road feel.
Engine runs like a charm :rocks:

Now we're talkin' boot shifters!
I ditched the shark fin and have never looked back…
No desert sharks here!
You know, cut file and polish that "protector" that doesn't really prevent boot scuff on the clutch cover untill you drop it and the shark fin bites into your clutch cover!
PM for not havin' to do mo' sand, buff and polish if and when that happens…
