Best paint recommendations

I need recommendations for best paint to use on the Bonneville. Brand, type, whatever is applicable information would be helpful.

Also, does anyone know the best way to prep a seat cowl for painting? The metal components are easy, but I've never tried to do that caliber of paint job on plastic. Any advice on painting the cowl and side plates would be appreciated.

This may be a bit too late, but for anyone interested, I've found Eastwood prep and paint products to be excellent for use on my 2008 Bonneville Black. You can buy stuff from them online at http://eastwood.com, and their customer service is excellent. They have tons of videos online to help you learn to prep and paint. There is a store in the Chicago area that I go to and the staff there are very, very friendly and helpful.
