Custom sprocket cover

Pics of custom sprocket cover #1... finished pic of black powdercoated cover courtesy of SHRuuM, who Texas-talked me into doing it in the first place :D

Plenty of design possibilities here, although artwork should be kept fairly simple... no single cut-out element should be less than about 1/8" wide... or about the width of the narrowest lines the example UJ sprocket cover...

Internal cast bosses require removal to make best use of the available area
inside of the cover... so if you DIY - and it's a grunt/finesse job - finished surface on the inside of the cover should be smooth and even as seen in the de-bossed example...

How much do you charge for the brushed aluminum british flag sprocket cover, as shown in the top picture? Also is it a direct bolt on or does it need modification?

Please respond to [email protected]

Thank you

Danny,

Email sent.

Stock sprocket cover.

The main caveat is that the factory clearcoat
may need to be stripped & reapplied once the design is rendered...
or it may be just fine. Results have varied, hence the warning.

Darn it D9

I would just love that Union Jack sprocket cover,
the work & prep you put into that must have been immense.
But the result is awesom especially in the ally finish.
It also must shave considerable weight from a clunky OE piece.
But I would be concerned with the dust & mud collecting when off-roading.

Perhaps, if I get a Bonnie for the GF it would be cool.

I know we spoke about the Scrams consol -
but at the mo I cannot think of an alternative design
that would work with the small windshield.

It would also be good if we could work a solution for my Zumo as it obstructs the neutral light.

If I get a larger tank constructed the tacho may have to go.
Or have you found a solution where they could coexist behind the small windshield?

Cheers

Rhodie - appreciate the comments & observations... can you post
a couple of pics of your current dash setup - riders view & maybe
some other angles as well - windshield & Zumo in place? Got some design gears turning...

Agree... UJ or other perforated sprocket cover perhaps not so good in dust & mud.

appreciate your consideration & thoughts with this conundrum.

Ideally you would find a way of incorporating the speedo, tach & lights
within the width of the small Triumph accessory shield.

Here some pix - let me know if you need more or additinal info/data.

How about a bracket with 2 mini gauges (reusing the tach) with the lights in the middle, then putting the GPS over where the tach is now...?
