Can I still hang out with you guys?

I pulled the trigger on a new Street Triple R today and traded in the Bonnie. I'm sure I'll regret letting her go but so far I love the Street. I need to win the lottery so I can have both...and a Thruxton. :playin:

Wow! That's a pretty serious machine. Congrats!

I don't think I have the maturity to handle such a machine in a legal and safe manner...

With something like that I'd absolutely HAVE to take up track days or even some kind of racing. There's no way I could stay out of trouble for long on the streets with that. It looks like it's saying "LET'S GO" just sitting there...

Sigh... Enjoy!

If I ever got rid of the Bonnie, that's what I'd want. At my age, however, I need something a little more tame. Great lookin' bike, Gretsch.

Thanks guys! I've been taking it real easy (break in) so no worries about control right now. I'm a relatively cautious guy so I think I can be responsible and relaxed with the power. Speed is seductive, so I'll need to keep that in check.

Oh yeah. By the way, the modification sickness doesn't go away if you switch from a Bonnie/Thrux/Scram. I'm already thinking of replacement mirrors, a fly screen, fender eliminator, and new pipes.

I am sorta doing the same soon for awhile. Will be swapping my bon for a street triple for a few days. Cant wait to try it. The girl who owns it, is considering getting a bon, and we have agreed to try each others out as I still have a craving for one.

I can see that Turkey Creek, Clear Creek, Coal Creek, Flag and Lookout are gonna be real playgrounds for ya Gretch!! Take pics as always and hang out in the ACE to post em.

Congrats on the new ride. I traded in my Bonnie a month ago for a Sprint ST. I wish I had the money for both, but I love the Sprint. Tomorrow is one month to the day of ownership, and I've put on 1150 miles. I work at home, and give myself one day per weekend for riding, otherwise I'd have more miles on it. Sadly, I have a yard and a girlfriend that wants me to help her clean it up.

:headbang2: You just might need another guitar to keep the pace.

The last thing I need is another guitar. :D

I'm thinking of thinning the herd a bit actually. I don't have time to play them all and it seems a shame for them to just sit there collecting dust.

Mean looking machine, fix the mirrors and some more open pipes and you've got a real widowmaker...

The first thing I want to do is get rid of the mirrors. Unfortunately, the Street Triple R has slightly different bars than the Street so most of the aftermarket bar-end mirrors will not fit correctly.

That is definitely motorcycle Porn! With my luck I wouldn't die I would just cripple myself and my wife would have to wipe my asshole for life . . . or until she decided to take my dog and leave me!

Congrats!!! I have no doubt that you two will remain in love for many miles. I'm looking to pick me up either a new Daytona 675 or ST3R next year (most likely the Daytona). I toyed with the idea of trading in the thruxton, but I just don't think I could do it without regret (even though those triples ride so dang nice). So I'm saving up to have both. Anyway, this is your day. Again...congrats!
