This is a stupid question but, why would one hate riding the super slab for a trip? Is it for the sole reason that it's boring? I have done no more than 200 mi. a day so i don't know much about touring.

Why use a tender? This is a stupid question, but when is a battery tender supposed to be used? when the bike is going to be parked for a long time? or at all times? I just got started in this motorcycle riding business.:o

sounds like an issue with the starter. Is there a way you can pull the starter and hook it directly to the battery? If it wont spin with 12 volts then the problem is the starter.

I wondered about the springs. I only used 1, the instructions didn't say anything about using both. Then i noticed while splitting lanes that the stand would bounce and smack the bump stop. I had so much trouble trying to attach both springs, so i just went with one. next time i will put both.

Get the triumph c-stand I had the Triumph center stand on the bonnie for 5 months. (wrecked and took it off). As other have said you need to get the technique down, it helps to have someone there to spot you so you don't drop the bike. Made chain maintenance much easier, checking the...
