To register for the site, you must use a regular ISP email account. ie: comcast, bellsouth, etc. Free email providers like yahoo, hotmail, etc are not allowed. This will keep the forum trolls to a minimum. The list of free email providers is 2200+ long at this point. NBR is a close-knit online community. Because of this, internet trolls are kept to a minimum on this forum and so is my time spent housecleaning. Even though we have Human Verification and a blocked list of FREE email servers, we're still getting 20+ spam registrations a day. Imagine the mess if we didnt filter.

Once you have registered yourself a screen name with your regular ISP based email and verified it by clicking the URL link the confirmation email that will be sent to you, then you can edit your user profile and change to your free email account for site notifications like someone sent you a PM kinda of stuff. You will have to go back through the entire email confirmation process again - every time you change your email. NONE of your emails will be given/sold/available/etc to anyone through this site.

DO NOT send me an email explaining how yahoo/hotmail/etc is your only email account, you do not have an ISP and how I should allow you access to the forum anyway. It's not happening and your email will be deleted. If you cant figure out how to get yourself registered to the site, then I see it as an IQ filter.

Let's recap for the learning impaired ... DO NOT send me an email to me complaining about your station in life. The internet is NOT a human right and this little corner of the cyber-world has protocols before you can get in the door.

If you try to register to this forum with a FREE email account, you will either receive a message saying your account has been banned or you will receive an email saying your account was not accepted and deleted. Examples of FREE email providers are Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL, etc. AOL? Yes, AOL provides free email accounts. If you try to use server like AOL to register, then you better be using AOL as your service provider.
