Goodridge after a number of months to make up a sample
have finally delivered the production batch for the sets we have sold.
To all those who have been waiting, thank you for your patience.
They will be dispatched tomorrow [Monday 9 March].
We have enough for the few remaining kits in stock.
I really do not recommend buying this kit without the longer hose,
as you will have to use a loose zip-tie to keep the OE [shorter] hose 'aligned' with the swing arm.
Please Note - You will not be able to use the hand-made stainless steel powdercoated brake hose
swingarm bracket with the shorter OE hose

Lovely work - I like it!! But, here's my question... Past experience with a PM caliper on the rear of a custom bike I built back in the late 90's showed that placing the bleed screw on the 'bottom' of the caliper created a situation where it was nearly impossible to bleed the rear brake to where the brake pedal felt 'firm'. How does moving the Triumph's rear caliper to the top change the ability to get a full/firm pedal on the Bonnie?

Good question.
But if you bleed the caliper off the bracket with the bleed valve highermost, it is
indeed possible to expell all the air and thereby have a firm rear brake feel.
Ideally we would use a calliper, say off the America/Speedmaster that does have the valve at the top.
But in order to keep costs down we have stuck with the OE Scrambler caliper.
There is also a debate among some riders looking for a one piston caliper,
as it is easy to lock the back up.
Especially if you are wearing MX boots with little feel in them.

As a fellow CNC Machinist I have to say that is a good looking bracket there Rhodie! If memory serves me right the 6061 T6 aluminum is a harder more rigid aluminum (lightweight yet tough). HAAS is a top of the line machine tool. How long does it take to machine one or is that a trade secret? What does RMP stand for? If I run across any Scramblers up here I'll be sure to mention you're bracket to them...

Nick
Thanks for the feedback.
Reassuring to hear from an experienced CnC machinist!
It takes 2.5-3 hours per bracket, if memory serves me right.
I'm meeting up with the American CnC operator later this week and will confirm that,
as we are looking at developing the bracket design so that it will fit Bonnies as well.
The response from the MCN UK readership of the posted piece,
has shown that there are a number of Bonnie riders
who also want the bracket due winter crud seized calipers.
RMP - Rhodie Moto Parts.
There are a few other things we want to make for the Scrambler
to assist with making it truly more off-road capable.
Appreciate your interest.

Hi Rhodie. If you need any US test pilots for future Scrambler offroad parts, give me the nudge. I can supply honest test conditions (see below). By the way, my rear caliper has had a seized piston from day one!

Thems sure are great pix doin what a Scrambler does best.
Working on a few ideas - front fenders, footpegs, oil cooler guards & bashplates.
Funny enough the MCN piece got a lot of replies from
UK Bonnie riders saying they had a problem with seized pistons.
Am adjusting the bracket design accordingly
and hope to have a bracket that will work with both bikes.
Bonnies as well as Scramblers!

Wiseanhyzer as ever thanks for your kind comments.
Thistle66 - Sadly not.
However a number of querries from Bonnie & Thrux riders which
may mean a design adjustment and another run that would fit all three models.
If there is any serious interest out there do let me know,
and I will advise accordingly.
Cheers a happy thanksgiving all,

I'm also interested in one for a Bonnie (prefer w/o the script, or something a bit 'quieter'...).
